Karaoke Singing Tips: Pleasing the Crowd with Karaoke Songs

When you are singing karaoke, the last thing you want to do is come off as someone who thinks they’re a fabulous rockstar, but looks like a dweeb. When you’re singing karaoke, the crowd is most likely a blend of individuals who want to enjoy the singing, and those who want to sing themselves. It’s important to connect with the crowd rather than have them turn against you during your performance.

One of the ways in which you can do this is to really interact with the crowd. Walk through the crowd if possible, dancing a bit or having people help you sing a few words before you move on. When you make it fun for them, you put the focus on them rather than all on yourself. You’re more likely to give a great performance this way. Imagine singing a romantic song and kissing the hand of a pretty girl in the crowd, or winking at her. Just make sure she’s not with a huge, jealous man first!

This is a great way to really interact with the crowd and make them fall in love with you and your performance. If you think about your favorite singers and look at videos of their performances, you’ll see many ways in which they interact with the crowd. Do this and you’ll probably find that the crowd loves you, and might even demand that you sing more!
